Add Content Credentials to exported videos
Learn how to apply Content Credentials to your exported videos, including details like linked social media accounts and generative AI usage preferences.
Content Credentials let you attach your verified identity, social profiles, and AI training preferences to exported videos, helping you receive recognition for your work and build trust with your audience.
Use Content Credentials when you want to establish authorship of your video content or prevent AI models from using your work for training. The credentials are embedded in your exported file as tamper-evident metadata, creating a transparent record that viewers can verify. Configure your preferences once at the Adobe Content Authenticity site, after which Premiere applies your settings automatically during export.
Content Credentials attach additional information to your content at export, stored as dedicated metadata that accompanies the file wherever it goes. When content undergoes multiple editing stages, it can accumulate multiple credentials, creating a version history that helps viewers make informed trust decisions.
Configure your Content Credentials preferences
Select your profile settings and connect your social account to verify your identity.
Add social media profile URLs you want to attach to your exported content.
Check the I request that generative AI models not train or use my content box if you want to request that generative AI models not use your content for training.
Save your preferences to make them available in Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder.
Once you configure these preferences, they're securely stored and applied automatically when you export content from Premiere.
Export videos with Content Credentials
Select File > Export > Media or press Command + M (macOS) or Ctrl + M (Windows) to open Export mode.
In the Content Credentials section below the output preview, confirm that the Content Credentials stamp appears.
Select Set Preferences to connect your social accounts, including links to your social profiles, making it easier for others to discover and follow your work.
Enable Apply Content Credentials preferences at export and configure your remaining export settings as needed for your project.
Select Export to render your video with Content Credentials attached.
If your sequence contains Adobe AI-generated assets from apps like Adobe Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, or Firefly, Premiere automatically includes Content Credentials in supported export formats. Sequences containing AI-generated content automatically display the Content Credentials stamp.
Verify your exported credentials
After exporting, you can verify the Content Credentials attached to your files using Adobe's Inspect tool. Upload your exported file to view the embedded identity information, social accounts, and AI training preferences. You can also scan imported files for existing Content Credentials by right-clicking assets in the Project panel and selecting Scan for Content Credentials.
To export using Adobe Media Encoder, add your Premiere sequence to the Media Encoder queue by selecting Export Settings > Send to Media Encoder. Content Credentials settings configured at the Adobe Content Authenticity site apply automatically in Media Encoder.
