When you try to install add-ons for Creative Cloud products, installation fails. An error message is displayed stating that the add-on is incompatible with Adobe applications.
Have a favorite plug-in from a previous version of any Creative Cloud application that you’d like to use? Check the Adobe Add-ons page (or the third-party plug-in developer’s website) to see if an updated version exists.
Often, the easiest way to resolve failed downloads is to try the download again using a different browser. For example, if you're using Internet Explorer on Windows, try Firefox. If you're using Firefox on macOS, try Safari.
Sign out from the Creative Cloud desktop application, and then sign back in. For details, see Sign in and sign out to activate or deactivate Creative Cloud apps.
Successful installation of an add-on that is compatible with any Creative Cloud application is displayed in the Creative Cloud desktop app.
- Check that the installation of your add-on is listed under the Activity Stream section of the Home tab.
- Relaunch the application.
This solution is for products other than Dreamweaver and Flash Pro CC. For these two products, continue using the previous versions until a fix is available.
