Black screen at sign-in | Creative Cloud desktop app

Issue

The Creative Cloud desktop app displays a black screen at sign-in.

Solutions

Solution 1

  1. Quit Creative Cloud in Task Manager (Press Ctrl+Alt+Del, Start Task Manager ).
  2. Delete the OPM.db file from C:\Users\{user_name}\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE\.
  3. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC\.
  4. Right-Click on "Creative Cloud.exe".
  5. Select "Properties".
  6. Select "Compatibility" tab.
  7. Check "Run in 256 colors" and click "Apply".
  8. Start Creative Cloud desktop app.
  9. Sign in with your Adobe ID and password.
  10. Quit the Creative Cloud desktop app.
  11. Remove the check for "Run in 256 colors" from "Compatiliblity" tab under "Properties".
  12. Start the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Solution 2

1. Start the computer with "Safe mode with networking"

2. Launch the Creative Cloud desktop app and validate.

3. Restart the computer.
