Issue

When you run Photoshop CS6 in Windows 8, the image canvas is transparent or flickers.

Solution

Change the GPU Drawing Mode to Basic:

  1. In Photoshop, choose Edit > Preferences > Performance.
  2. Select Advanced Settings.
  3. Choose Basic from the Drawing Mode pop-up menu.
  4. Click OK to close the dialog boxes.

This is a known issue that Adobe is working on with AMD.
