Crash in Premiere Pro 15.2 and After Effects 18.2 on Windows laptops with older NVIDIA graphics card drivers

Newly released DirectX display technology in Premiere Pro 15.2 and After Effects 18.2 has incompatibilities with old drivers on some Windows machines with NVIDIA Graphics Cards. 

If you are running Premiere Pro 15.2 or After Effects 18.2 on a Windows laptop with an NVIDIA Graphics Card and you have old NVIDIA drivers, you may experience issues.

These issues may include instability during application launch or during your editing workflow. Some users are experiencing an application crash while performing the following actions: preview and playback, using effects and transitions, importing media, and general editing workflows.

Update the NVIDIA drivers to the latest version for your system. Follow the instructions in the report or see: How to install NVIDIA Drivers. 

We have identified issues with NVIDIA drivers between 26.21.14.4108 (also known as 441.08) and 26.21.14.5167 (also known as 451.67). See detailed list of driver and hardware below. If you are using any combination of machine, GPU and driver version on these lists, we strongly recommend that you update your driver.

Previous versions of Premiere Pro and After Effects, Mac systems, and other GPUs are not affected.
