Find, apply, and adjust variable fonts

Select the text using the Selection tool

Select Window > Type > Character, and in the Character panel, select the Set the font family dropdown to open the font menu.

To view all variable fonts, select Filter fonts by classification , and then select Variable in the Font Technology section.

Select a variable font to apply it to the text.

Close the font menu, and in the Character panel, select Variable Font .

Adjust properties such as Weight, Width, and Slant.
