Scale multiple objects

Last updated on Feb. 10, 2026

Learn how to scale multiple objects to maintain design consistency and efficiency.

Select the objects using the Selection tool.

Select Object > Transform > Transform Each.

Note

You cannot enter a specific width for scaling multiple objects. In Adobe Illustrator, you can only scale objects in percentage measurements.

Set percentages for Horizontal and Vertical scale under the Scale category of the dialog box.

The canvas displays an artwork, and the Transform Each panel shows highlighted Relative and Absolute scaling option, along with other available settings.
Switch between Relative and Absolute to control whether transforms scale proportionally or use exact values.

Select Relative or Absolute scaling.

Select a white square on the reference point locator  to change the reference point.

Select OK or select Copy to scale a copy of each object.
