Thank you for being part of the exciting journey of Adobe ColdFusion Builder.
As Adobe continues to focus on ColdFusion Builder extension for Visual Studio Code as the IDE for Adobe ColdFusion, we have decided to End of Life (EOL) Adobe ColdFusion Builder on Oct 1, 2024.
View the End of Life (EOL) announcement for ColdFusion Builder.
Issue
1. Randomly ColdFusion Builder will ignore the serial number applied by a user without admin previlages. In such scenario, user with admin previlages should apply the serial number.
5. “Adobe ColdFusion Builder Updates” menu will be enabled for non-admin admin users in plug-in install of ColdFusion Builder. If User checks for an update, the updater will download the update, however the update will not be installed and user will see a an appropriate Error message(Do we need to say about updater now? Or it will be better to convey this when we release update)
6. Even if ColdFusion Builder is updated to the latest update, when a non admin user tries to update ColdFusion Builder, CFB will fail to recognize that the CFB is up-to-date and will prompt to install the latest update. It will download the latest update and during installation, it will fail. (Do we need to say about updater now? Or it will be better to convey this when we release update)
7. In ColdFusion Builder, Server Manager, Start/Stop options are enabled for a non admin user also. But these operations will fail for a non-admin user. In case of Windows 7 and Vista, CFB should be launched using “Run as Administrator” option even for Admin user for these options to work properly.
8. In some cases Recent Files list in ColdFusion Builder Start Page is not updated properly for a non-admin user.
9. CFB fails to block a non-admin user from launching uninstaller. This may result in partial un-installation.
2. In Mac 10.5.x and 10.6.x, Non-Admin User will not be able to launch CFB Installed as a plug-in to Eclipse 3.4.2.If Administrator can give appropriate permissions for the Eclipse directory for the non-admin user, this issue will be resolved.
4. In Windows Vista, sometimes installing plug-ins will throw an error saying insufficient permissions. In this case, re-start CFB using “Run as Administrator” option.
