Reimagine local adjustments with the brand new Masking panel. Now use the Brush, Linear Gradient, Radial Gradient tools with greater precision and organization. You can also access the new Color Range and Luminance Range tools that help you adjust specific colors or brightness levels in a photo. Depth Range control is also available for photos containing depth information.
You can choose to combine multiple tools in a single photo to make complex local adjustments and easily access them in an organized Masking panel.

Click the mask in the Masks panel. Select Add to further add areas to the selection or Subtract to erase areas of the automatic selection. You can use any of the masking tools to do this. The easiest to use is the Brush where you can simply paint the areas you want to edit.

Lightroom runs an analysis of your photo and automatically selects the sky. The selection is shown as a red overlay, by default.
To make further refinements, click the Mask in the Masks panel and select Add or Subtract to make additions to the selection or erase areas of the selection.

Powered by AI, Lightroom now automatically recommends presets to you based on your photo.
To access this feature:
Open a photo you want to edit.
In Lightroom desktop, select Edit > Presets > Recommended.
Lightroom will quickly run an analysis of your photo, and automatically provide suitable presets to take your photo to the next level.
Simply hover over the Recommended Presets to preview it in the selected photo. Click a preset to apply and your photo is enhanced in just a click!
In the Remixes tab of Lightroom desktop, get to know what photographers in the in-app community are doing and learn from them the latest editing trends. You can also edit photos of other users and help them learn from you.
Click Discover in the left panel and select the Remixes tab.
To edit a photo: Scroll to All Remixable Edits to view the remixable photos. Hover over the thumbnail and click Remix. Add your edits, click Next, add a comment about your editing process, and click Post Remix for the user to see your edits. All edits made will appear in the Remixes tab of the user's profile.
To share and allow others to edit your photo: Open an edited photo and select Share > Share to Discover. Fill in the details in the right panel and select the Allow Remixing toggle. Then, click Share.
To view the remixes of a photo, visit your or a user's profile, and click the Remixes tab. Open a photo to view all the edits made by different people in one place. This way, you can learn, compare, and find editing workflows that work for you.
