Add users to a group in Adobe Acrobat Sign

Assign users to a group to apply group-level settings and control agreement behavior.

Adding users to a group ensures that group-level settings, defaults, and controls are applied when users send agreements. This allows administrators to enforce the correct configuration, workflows, and policies for specific business processes.

Add users to a group

  1. Sign in to Adobe Acrobat Sign as an account administrator, then go to the Groups tab.

  2. Select the group to display its actions.

  3. Select the Group Settings link to open the group-level configuration.

The Groups tab with a selected group exposing the action links.

  4. Select Users in Group from the group's admin menu.

  5. Select the Assign users to group icon to open the Assign Users to this Group overlay.

  6. Choose a user, then select Select user to add them to the Selected users list.

    • Use the search field to find users by name or email address.
    • Use the More icon to filter the list by active, inactive, or all users.
    • The More list also allows for increased records per page.
  7. Once all of the users have been added to the Selected users field, select the Assign button.

The Assign Users to this Group overlay with the pagination menu exposed.

The selected users are added to the group and inherit the group’s default settings when sending agreements.

Things to know

  • All users reside in one group. This is their primary group, meaning the group that dictates their inherited abilities (can send, can sign, and so forth).
  • Users in an account that has enabled Users in Multiple Groups can have membership in multiple groups.
  • If Users in Multiple Groups is enabled, their selected group determines which settings are applied when agreements are created
  • If Users in Multiple Groups is not enabled, users can belong to only one group at a time.
