MathML font initialization error

When you try to insert a MathML equation, you might get the font initialization failed error and the MathML equation is not inserted in the document.

Cause

The fonts required by MathML are either not present on your system or have become corrupted.

Resolution

Perform the followings steps to resolve this issue:

1. Open the fonts folder on your system.
   Typically, the fonts are installed under the C:\Windows\Fonts folder.
   
2. Delete the shortcut for MT Extra or Symbol font.
3. Reinstall the fonts.
