As a web designer, a consistent design and style might be one of the most important requirements for your site. To achieve this, you can either reuse styles or you manually adjust format using the Control bar. Manual settings work only for smaller sites, with a limited number of repetitions. However, manually setting the format or copying styles using the Styles panel takes time and efforts. In addition, manually setting the format of an element can be error prone.
To overcome these issues, Adobe Muse allows you to quickly copy and paste styles from one element to another. You can copy and paste character styles, paragraph styles, bullets, and link styles. To copy a style from one element to another, right-click and copy the style from the source element. Select the target element where you want to paste the style, right-click, and select Paste Attributes.

Further, you can also copy and paste selective attributes from one element to another.
Read on to know how to perform these copy-paste workflows in Adobe Muse.
You can follow this procedure if you want to copy only selected attributes from one element to another, in Adobe Muse. For example, you can choose to copy only the text color from a text frame to another, not choosing the effects or fill attributes. Or, you can choose to copy the opacity from one graphic to another.
To copy and paste selective attributes, perform the following steps:
-
In the Paste Selective Attributes panel, select only those attributes that you want to copy and paste. By default, all the attributes are selected in this panel. Uncheck the attributes that you do not want to copy.
Notice the States, Hyperlink, States transitions, and Opacity attributes in the panel. When you select the States attribute, the style attributes in the current state is copied from the source element to the target. When you select Opacity, the opacity or the degree of transparency is copied from the source element to the target. Note that this opacity is different from the opacity of background fills.
Apart from these attributes, you can also select the inidivual, sub-attributes for Fill, Stroke, Text Style, Effect, and Scroll Effects. The Fill, Stroke, and Effects attributes are applicable when you copy graphic styles from a source element to the target.
Paste selective attributes to the target elementNote:
Select the States checkbox if you want the style attributes for all the states from the source to the target. If you do not select this checkbox, only the attributes in the current state is pasted.
The options you select are retained the next time you perform the copy-paste attributes workflow.
