Aadhaar

Overview

Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identity number provided by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) that is available to Indian citizens around the world and eligible residents in India. The Aadhaar signing service available in Adobe Acrobat Sign (as the application service provider or ASP) is provided by NSDL e-Gov (as the e-sign service provider or ESP). NSDL e-Gov is a licensed certifying authority that provides e-signature services in India in accordance with e-KYC services of UIDAI. Aadhaar signing requires the use of a digital signature field and allows signers to authenticate using a one-time password (OTP) and authorize their signature.
