Adobe Admin Console product access requests FAQ
Get answers to common questions about managing product access requests in Admin Console.
These questions typically arise when configuring product request workflows, responding to user access requests, or managing automated assignment rules. Topics are organized by configuration, request management, and automation.
Product requests are automatically enabled for organizations that use Business profiles and storage. This allows users to request access to Adobe products they need while giving System Administrators control over approvals.
Users can request access through the Creative Cloud desktop app, Creative Cloud on the web (desktop only), Adobe Stock, Acrobat Sign, Adobe Express, Adobe Firefly, Developer Console, and Acrobat (AI Assistant only). For products that do not support in-app requests, create an automatic assignment rule to generate a Product Access URL.
No, product requests are enabled at an organizational level and cannot be filtered by specific products. If you want to provide automated access to specific products only, create an automatic assignment rule and choose which users are eligible for automated access to identified products.
A System Administrator can purchase more licenses or new products to fulfill requests not covered by the current contract by selecting Buy More from the Review Request page, Admin Console Overview page, or Account page.
Pending requests remain in the product request queue for 60 days. Users receive email notifications at 30 days confirming the request is still pending and again at 60 days when the request expires. After expiration, users can resubmit a request for the same product with a new business reason.
Users receive email notifications when administrators approve or deny their requests. Separate notifications are sent at 30 days to confirm the request is still pending and at 60 days if the request expires without action. Approved users also receive confirmation of product availability in their accounts.
Enabling product requests allows users of the organization to request access to any Adobe product listed in the Adobe app, regardless of whether the organisation has purchased it.
You can approve requests for a different product that meets the user's needs, based on available licenses. For Teams or VIP memberships, select Buy more to purchase additional licenses. For Enterprise plans, you can approve requests for additional licenses beyond your purchased licenses and pay for them later, or contact your Adobe Account Manager for products not in your plan.
Products available to fulfill requests are based on your organization's purchased products and whether they provide access to the license the user needs. For example, if a user requests Photoshop but your organization only has Creative Cloud licenses, Creative Cloud appears as an option because it includes Photoshop access.
Yes, you can create an automatic assignment rule to automatically grant access to specific products for eligible users.
Yes, automatic assignment rules for specific products can be active while product requests are enabled. If a user qualifies for an automatic assignment rule, it takes precedence and grants immediate access without requiring administrator review.
For step-by-step instructions on reviewing and responding to product requests, see Manage product requests.
