Learn how to import photos directly into Lightroom from the camera roll or gallery on your iPhone or iPad.

Import photos from Camera Roll or Gallery

In Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for mobile (iOS), you can directly access and edit a photo of your choice from the Camera Roll on your device before importing it into Lightroom.

    • If you're in the Albums view tap the add photos icon at the lower-right corner of the screen.
    • If you're in the Grid view (viewing photos within an album), tap the add photos icon at the lower-right corner and then choose Add From Camera Roll from the menu that appears.
  1. Tap a photo from the Camera Roll to open it in the Camera roll edit view.

    Piezīme.

    The Lightroom icon over the Camera Roll photos indicates that the photo is already added to Lightroom.

  2. In this view, you can apply Adjustments and Presets, and also use the Cropping Tool on the photo. See Edit Photos for more details.

  3. To add the edited photo from the Camera roll to Lightroom, tap the Confirm icon () at the upper-right corner of the screen.

    To cancel the addition of the photo to Lightroom, tap the Cancel icon () at the upper-left corner of the screen.

Add photos from third-party photo apps

You can directly add photos to Lightroom from other apps such as Apple Photos or Google Photos. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. In a desired iOS photo app, select a photo that you want to open in Lightroom for mobile (iOS).

  2. Tap Share and choose Lightroom from the given Share options.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, do one of the following:

    • Click Got it to import the photo on the next launch of Lightroom for mobile (iOS).
    • Click Launch Lightroom Now to open the photo in the Lightroom app.
  4. Tap the () icon in the Lightroom app to navigate to Recently Added where you can find the selected photo.
