Learn how to save your photos from Lightroom to your computer, mobile device, or hard drive. You can add watermarks before you export and share photos and albums with their metadata.

Use the Share option in Lightroom for mobile (iOS) to send photographs over email, print, or copy or move them around in albums. You can share a photo while in Loupe view, or share multiple photographs from the Grid view.

Save photos to Camera Roll after editing

When you are done with your edits on a photo, you can save a copy of the modified photo (.JPG format), in your Camera Roll. Do one of the following:

Multiple photos

  1. In the Grid view (viewing photos in an album), long-press a photo to bring up multi-select, select one or more photos. Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the screen and and then tap the Save To Camera Roll option from the pop-up menu.
  2. In the Image Size dialog, tap to choose one of the following options:
    • Small (2048 px) Limits the length of the exported JPG photos to 2048 pixels. The breadth is scaled accordingly to maintain the original aspect ratio.
    • Maximum available Exports the selected photos in highest available quality in JPG format.

Single photo

  1. In the Loupe view (viewing a single photo), tap the Share icon (), and then tap Save to Camera Roll.
  2. In Image Size dialog, tap to choose one of the following options:
    • Small (2048 px) Limits the length of the exported JPG photos to 2048 pixels. The breadth is scaled accordingly to maintain the original aspect ratio.
    • Maximum available Exports the selected photos in highest available quality in JPG format.
  3. Tap OK.

If Camera Roll photos are set for automatic import in albums, the saved images are automatically added to the album and synced with Lightroom CC on desktop.

Lightroom allows you to retry saving your photos if the export process fails. Do the following if the Export dialog displays these error messages:

  • No Internet connection: Ensure that your device is connected to the Internet. Switch back to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC for mobile app and tap Retry.
  • Not enough storage to perform export: Free up some storage space in your device Gallery. Switch back to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC for mobile app and tap Retry.
  • Lightroom does not have permissions to save photos in the Gallery: Provide permissions to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC for mobile app in your device settings. Switch back to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC for mobile app and tap Retry.

Add a text watermark while sharing or saving your photos

You can add a customizable text watermark while sharing your photos and while saving your photos to camera roll.

Piezīme.

  • You can't add a watermark when you export original photo.
  • Watermark doesn't sync with Lightroom CC across devices and Lightroom Classic CC on desktop.  

  1. If you're in the Albums view, tap the settings () icon at the upper-right corner of the screen.

    If you're in the Loupe or Grid view, tap the three-dots icon at the upper-right corner of the screen and choose Settings.

  2. In the Settings menu, tap Sharing Options.

    In the Watermark section, turn on the Include option.  

  3. Tap the text field to modify the watermark text as required. By default, the watermark text displays a copyright symbol followed by your Adobe account name.

    Tap Customize. On the Customize Watermark screen, modify any of the following settings:

    • To position the watermark, tap any of the nine placement circles displayed around and at the center of the sample image.
    • T: Tap to select a font.
    • B: Tap to make the text bold.
    • I: Tap to italicize the text.
    • To rotate the text clockwise by 90 degrees, tap the rotate icon.
    • To choose a text color (black or white), tap the desired color swatch.
    • Size: Move the slider control to proportionally scale the watermark text larger or smaller.
    • Offset: Move the slider control to position the watermark text horizontally or vertically in the photo.
    • Opacity: Move the slider control to to adjust the level of transparency of the watermark text.

  5. After customizing your watermark text, tap the (<) back icon at the upper-left corner to return to the Sharing Options screen.

    If you had navigated to the Sharing Options screen directly from the Loupe or Grid view in Step 1, tap the (X) icon at the upper-left corner again to return to that view.

The text watermark will now be added when you share photos or save photos to camera roll.

Share albums and photos to web

Share albums to web

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC for mobile allows you to make your albums public, so that others can see your photos on the web. To share an Album, do the following:

  1. Create a folder

    Tap the () icon at the upper-left corner of the screen to navigate to the Albums view.

    In the Albums view, tap the three-dots () icon next to any album that you want to share.

  2. From the options menu, tap Share Album.

  3. In the Album Sharing screen that appears, turn on Enable Sharing.

    If your album is currently private, the options View On Web and Share Link are disabled. Once you've made the album public, the following options appear:

    • Sharing Options: Tap to specify the following options:

    Allow Downloads: Turn on to allow others to download the shared album photos. Turn off to disable downloads.

    Allow Comments and Likes: Turn on to allow others to comment on and like your shared web gallery.

    Show Metadata: Turn on to allow others to view metadata of the shared album photos. Turn off to hide metadata.

    Show Location Info: Turn on to allow others to view location info of the shared album photos. Turn off to hide location info.

    • Display:Tap to specify the following display options:

    Show Title: Turn on to make the album title visible on the top of the album shared on web.

    Author: Type the author name to make it visible on the shared album on web.

    Appearance: Select Photo Grid, Column, or One-up to choose the layout of photos in a shared album over web. By default, Photo Grid is selected.

    Theme: Select Dark Theme or Light Theme to choose the background theme of photos displayed in a shared album over web. By default, Dark Theme is selected.

    Filter: Select this option to display photos filtered by star rating and flag status in the shared album over web. By default, shows all photos except for rejects.

    • View On The Web: View the album in a web browser window.
    • Share Link: Share a link to the album using mail, messaging, and other apps on the device. Simply follow the onscreen instructions to do so.

Share photos to web (ad-hoc share)

Lightroom CC for mobile (iOS) allows you to share desired photos instead of an entire album.

To share ad-hoc photos, do the following:

  1. Long press any photo in the grid to enter multi-select mode.

  2. Select all the photos that you want to share on the web.

  3. Tap the Share () icon at the bottom to bring up the various Share options.

  4. Tap the Share to Web option from the pop-up menu.

  5. In the Share to Web panel, edit the Title field and turn on Enable Sharing. Specify your share options based on Sharing Options, Display, View on the Web, and Share Link. These are similar to the Album Sharing screen. For more details, see Share albums to web.

  6. After you've shared your photos, tap the () icon at the upper-left corner of the screen and select Photos to view the ad-hoc collections of shared photos in the Share to Web - Photos screen.

  7. (Optional) In the Share to Web - Photos screen, tap the three-dots icon next to the name of your ad-hoc shared collection and do the following:

    Share to Web  Choose this option to go back to the Share to Web context menu.

    Move to Albums  Choose this option to move the selected ad hoc share to Albums.

    Delete  Choose this option to delete the selected ad hoc share. Only the selected ad hoc share gets deleted and not the photos contained in the shared ad hoc album.

Message or mail photos

  1. Do one of the following:

    • If you're in Loupe view (viewing an individual photo), tap the () icon, and then tap Share.
    • If you're in Grid view (viewing all photos in an album), long-press a photo to bring up multi-select, select one or more photos. Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the screen and and then tap the Share option from the pop-up menu.
  2. In the Image Size dialog that appears, choose any one of the following options:

    • Small - 2048 px.Limits the length of the shared photos to 2048 pixels. The breadth is scaled accordingly to maintain the original aspect ratio.
    • Maximum available. Shares the selected photos in highest available quality.
  3. The next dialog that appears displays a list of installed apps that you can use to share your photos.

    Choose an app to share with and follow the onscreen instructions.

  4. Follow the onscreen instructions and provide the necessary information to send a mail or message containing the photos.

Export original photos captured using the in-app camera

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC for mobile allows you to download/export an Original JPG or DNG photo that you captured using the in-app camera to your camera roll.

To export any original photo to your camera roll:

  1. Open the original image (captured using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC for mobile camera) in the Loupe view.
  2. Tap the Share icon () and then tap Export Original.

You can view the exported image in your device's camera roll.
