Can student or staff access Adobe apps and services at home?

If my institution uses Federated (SSO) logins, do the users have to login to applications every time they open one? Even for applications such as Acrobat Pro that are accessed by faculty and staff many times a day.
Can we force a user to only be able to log in with a Federated ID?

Your IT department will need to determine whether or not they are allowed to do so on the lab computers.

With Shared device licenses, do students still have to have Adobe IDs to use applications in a lab environment?
Yes. Students can have one of three ID types: Adobe ID, Enterprise ID or Federated ID. K-12 users must login with Enterprise or Federated IDs. See details of the Adobe supported identity types, in this document.
If Shared device licenses are only available for labs and classrooms, then what do we do for staff, since we can't use serialized installs anymore?
What happens to BYOD? Are students entitled to install apps on their device as members of an organization?
No, only lab machines are available for Shared Device License deployment. All other home and BYOD devices require a named-user product assignment. See this document for the Adobe-supported licensing methods.
I don't plan to give students licenses, so how do I activate the lab machines with Shared device licenses?
How is the number of Device Licenses being determined for those currently using FTE w/rfee lab licenses?
How is the number of device licenses in our contract determined? Does this depend on the number of lab computers?
How do we determine the number of Shared device licenses our institution needs?
Is a license tied to a computer? If a computer needs a mid-semester re-image, will that computer require a new Shared Device License? Does the license need to be revoked or will it stay associated with that computer?
If the hardware on a lab computer fails and we replace it, do we lose the license on that computer?
No. You only need to contact Adobe support and report the loss of that computer. Adobe support will adjust your license count.
Your contract determines how many lab or classroom machines are included.
What do we do with our current shared devices?
Shared devices are currently enabled with serial numbers. Unfortunately that means students do not have access to many of our latest apps.
You will need to migrate these licenses to Shared devices licenses and then deploy the new licenses on these devices. For details, see this document.
