Learn how to share a Student Space with classmates or join one that’s been shared with you to study together.
You can easily share study materials and study tools with classmates by inviting them to your Student Space or joining one shared with you. Invite others by link or email to review notes, explore study tools, and add content in the same space, whether they’re signed in or joining as a guest. Chat history isn’t shared, so everyone can focus on the materials and study at their own pace.
Share a Student Space with classmates
Select Share from the top menu.
In the dialog box that opens, select Change under Link access, choose the link access level and the recipients’ permission level, then select Done.
- Link access level
- Anyone in <your‑organization> with the link (Default option for enterprise users)
- Invited people only
- Recipients’ permission level
- Contributors: Can add comments, and add or remove files and notes
- Reviewers: Can add comments
- Viewers: Can view files and notes
Note
You can modify each recipient's permissions at any time.
Choose how to share:
- Invite people: Enter the recipient's name or email, review the message, and select Send.
- Direct link share: Select Copy link to share and share the copied link with recipients.
- Share via third-party apps: Select any supported third-party app, such as WhatsApp, GroupMe, Discord, Reddit, or LinkedIn, and follow the onscreen instructions.
Join a Student Space shared with you
Open the Student Space link shared with you in a message or email.
You’re taken directly into the shared content.
Explore the Student Space as a guest or invited user. Depending on access, you can:
- View uploaded sources
- Interact with study tools created by others
- Try creating your own study tools (within access limits)
Review and reference content:
- Use attribution links to jump back to the source material
- Explore Curated Student Spaces to deepen your understanding
Contribute by creating study tools, sharing notes or insights, and revisiting the Student Space to continue collaborating and track progress.
