Issue

The Mobile App output generation fails in FrameMaker and RoboHelp 2015 release. This is because the publishing process uses a plugin that has been deprecated in PhoneGap.

Resolution

To resolve this issue in RoboHelp (2015 release), perform the following steps:

  1. Download and extract the contents from the following .zip file:

The ZIP file contains the updated version of the Mpj2ResponsiveHelp.dll file.

  2. Take a backup of the existing Mpj2ResponsiveHelp.dll file. This file is available at the following location:

    <RoboHelp_install_location>\RoboHTML

  3. Replace the existing version of the Mpj2ResponsiveHelp.dll file with the file that you downloaded in Step 1.

    Note:

You can go ahead and create new projects. However, for existing projects, you must perform the following steps.

  4. Perform one of the following steps:

    • Create a new single-source layout for the Mobile App output in your project.
    • Delete the <mobile_app_ssl_name>_config.xml file from your project and restart RoboHelp.
  5. Generate the Mobile App output.
