Allowed IP Ranges

The Allowed IP Ranges feature significantly secures access for your account users by limiting login requests to a defined list of IP ranges.
Any attempt to log in must originate from one of the explicitly configured IP address ranges.
All attempts to log in that originate from IP addresses outside the configured list are denied with an error message: Your account cannot be accessed from this computer. Please contact your support staff.

Availability:

Restricting access using IP ranges is available for Acrobat Sign Solutions license plans.

Configuration scope:

The feature can be enabled at the account level only.

Best practices

An IP Allow list is an excellent security measure to deny all attempts to access your account from external IPs. Work with your network administrators to get a definitive list of IP ranges that should be installed to ensure you don't lock sections of your user base out of the Acrobat Sign service.

Limiting the IP addresses that can connect to your account will severely limit your ability to support remote users. Make sure you are enabling ranges that will be required if an emergent situation arises that demands atypical access.

Enable the IP addresses that include your administrators first. Don't lock yourself out of the account.

Configuration

To review and edit the feature controls:

Log in to the Acrobat Sign portal as an account-level administrator and navigate to Account Settings > Security Settings > Allowed IP Ranges.
Enable the Only allow access to the system from IP addresses that are listed below option by checking the box.
Select the plus icon to the right of the Search field.
Enter the CIDR notation for the IP range to be explicitly allowed.
Save the CIDR notation configuration.
Repeat steps 3 - 5 for all subnet masks that are required.

All configured IP ranges are listed under the control set in a scrolling list. Only up to two CIDR notations are exposed at once.
When all IP ranges have been included, Save the page configuration.

Manage the allowed IP ranges:

To search for a specific CIDR notation in the list of configured ranges, type the CIDR notation into the Search field.
As you type, the exposed IP ranges are filtered to show only ranges that match the string as you type it in.

To edit a CIDR notation:

Search and find the CIDR notation.
Select the notation to be edited to expose the available actions above the notation list.
Select the Edit action.
The Edit interface opens, with the current CIDR notation highlighted.
Enter the new CIDR notation.
Save the notation when done.
There is no challenge to saving the edit.

To delete a CIDR notation:

Search and find the CIDR notation.
Select the notation to be edited to expose the available actions above the notation list.
Select the Delete action.

There is no challenge to deleting the notation.

Double-check that you are deleting the correct notation, and be sure you aren't deleting the notation allowing you to connect to the Acrobat Sign service.
It's entirely possible to configure the application in such a way as to deny all access from external sources.
