Issues with menus and mouse pointer
On some machines, when you turn on auto-hide taskbar or launch Elements Organizer in tablet mode, you notice one of the following issues:
- Menu items do not open in Elements Organizer. The application appears unresponsive, but actually the menus do not open. This happens with the Import, Create, Share, context menus, and all other menus in Elements Organizer.
- Mouse cursor is not visible in Elements Organizer.
To resolve this issue, perform one of the following solutions:
Solutions 1 and 3 apply to Elements Organizer 15 and later, while Solution 2 applies exclusively to Elements Organizer 2018.
Solution 1: Turn off the auto-hide taskbar option
Right-click the taskbar, choose Properties, and deselect Auto-hide the taskbar.
If Tablet mode is turned on, turn off auto-hide taskbar for both Desktop and Tablet mode.
Solution 2: Relaunch Elements Organizer
-
-
Open the Run dialog box by clicking Windows + R. In the Run dialog box, type Regedit and click Enter. If you're prompted by User Account Control, click Yes.
-
Select HKEY_CURRENT_USER and navigate to SOFTWARE\Adobe\ElementsOrganizer\16.0\Organizer.
-
Enter the string key ForceAngleGraphics and set its value to 1.
-
Relaunch Elements Organizer.
Note:- If this solution doesn't work, reset the string key value in Step 4 from 1 to 0.
- This solution does not work on certain machines. In this case, revert the changes and follow Solution 1.
Solution 3: Restore the Elements Organizer application window
If you do not want to turn off the auto-hide taskbar option, click the Restore button to restore the application window so that it is not maximized.
This solution does not work on some machines. Hence, it is recommended to follow Solution 1 or 2.
