Sync settings fails under certain conditions in Dreamweaver CC 2017

If you have used the Dreamweaver CC 2017 Beta, and now have Dreamweaver CC 2017 installed, you may experience some errors while syncing settings with other Dreamweaver installations available across machines.

Solution

If sync settings fails inspite of multiple retries, download the following script and run it with administrative privileges. This script provides a fix for the sync settings issue. 

Depending on your operating system, download one of the following files:

For Windows operating systems

Extract the file and run it. After you see the following success message (this may differ slightly on Mac), try syncing settings once again. 

For Mac operating systems

Extract the file, and then execute the following command on the terminal:

sudo sh <downloaded script path>

After you see the success message, try syncing settings once again.
