Crop, rotate, and adjust images

Learn how to crop, expand, rotate, and change perspective of an image.

Crop images in Adobe Camera Raw

  1. Open a photo in Adobe Camera Raw and select  .

  2. Select the Aspect Ratio using the Preset drop-down menu. Select the Rotate Aspect Ratio or Constrain Aspect Ratio to lock in the desired dimension. 

  3. Drag the crop handles on the image or use the Angle slider to crop your image. You can select the Straighten tool to automatically straighten the angles of the image.

    The Crop panel is selected with Crop, Expand, Rotate, and geometry tools.

  4. Select Done to save your image.

Expand images

Rotate images

  • Select   to rotate your image counter clockwise.
  • Select   to rotate your image clockwise.
  • Select   to horizontally flip your image.
  • Select   to vertically flip your image.

Correct perspective

You can correct the perspective of an image with the Upright tool in Geometry. Upright helps straighten and correct the perspective of an image to fix perspective distortions and achieve a balanced composition. To learn more, see Correct image perspective with Geometry
