Adobe has released a hotfix to address security vulnerabilities for Adobe Digital Editions. This update resolves a moderate vulnerability that could lead to arbitrary file system write, privilege escalation, and command execution vulnerability.

Solution

1. Close Adobe Digital Editions, if the application is running on your machine. 
2. Download the recommended Adobe Digital Editions (version 4.5.11.187658) from the location.
3. Once the download is complete, open the file to run the installation wizard. See, installation issues if any. 
4. Launch Adobe Digital Editions.
5. To verify if the application is updated, Click Adobe Digital Editions > About Adobe Digital Editions from the menu bar.
