Tool setting changes are disabled due to group permissions in Dynamic Tag Management

The error message:

Environment

Adobe Marketing Cloud Activation (https://dtm.adobe.com)

Cause

While creating custom groups, Admin users in DTM belonging to custom groups that have Adobe Analytics or any other tool selected under the option "Users in this group are not allowed to create or modify the selected tools and related tool settings in rules." are unable to changes tool settings.

Settings visible to users while creating a group:

Users belonging to groups corresponding to the selected tools (shown in the image) cannot modify the settings of these tools.

Resolution

Do the following:

1. Create a custom group and ensure that Adobe Analytics is deselected.
2. Set the default role as Admin.
3. Add the required user to the group.
4. Click Save Group.
