How to fix high CPU usage for Creative Cloud desktop apps

The earlier versions of the Creative Cloud desktop app might, on rare occasions, use excessive CPU or energy resources. If you see this behavior even when the Creative Cloud desktop app is idle, reinstall the app.

Before you install the latest version of the Creative Cloud desktop app, it's important to completely uninstall the application. Follow these steps to perform a complete uninstall and reinstall of the application.

  1. Close all currently open Adobe products.

  2. In the Creative Cloud desktop app, select the profile icon.

  3. Select Sign Out in the pop-up window.

  4. Use the Creative Cloud desktop app uninstaller to uninstall the Creative Cloud desktop app

  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation of the Creative Cloud desktop app.

    Once done, use the Creative Cloud desktop app to install your Creative Cloud app.
