Learn how to use range syntax to print specific pages, sections, or spreads from your Adobe InDesign document.
You can print specific pages or page ranges instead of the entire document. InDesign supports flexible range syntax for individual pages, ranges, or combinations of pages.
Specify pages to print
In the General section, locate the Range field.
Type your page range using the syntax shown in the following table.
Use the Sequence menu to control which pages print:
- All Pages: Prints every page in your specified range.
- Even Pages Only: Prints only even-numbered pages within the range.
- Odd Pages Only: Prints only odd-numbered pages within the range.
Tip
To print spreads as single units, select the Spreads option. If a spread is larger than the selected paper size, InDesign prints as much as fits unless you select Scale To Fit in the Setup section.
Select Print.
