What is Adobe storage for business?

Adobe storage for business is Adobe’s cloud storage that enables business organizations to store digital content at a central location. It is a core component of most Adobe offerings that provides users and apps seamless access to assets, documents, libraries, and related services. Adobe storage for business is not just a storage repository. You can generate usage reports, manage encryption, impose sharing restrictions, and enforce account security. With Adobe storage for business, storage allocation is pooled at the organizational level, instead of the individual user level. Learn more about the Business Storage model.

See a short video about Adobe storage for business.

With the Storage tab on the Admin Console, you can access individual user folders or search for folders by user name or email.

Note:
  • If your Adobe membership does not include storage, you can upgrade your membership to include storage and services by contacting your Adobe Account Manager.
  • In some organizations, cloud storage isn't centralized and is assigned at a user level. Users in such organizations receive storage based on their existing entitlements.

Who owns the storage?

An organization that uses Adobe storage for business owns the entire storage entitlement based on the license agreement or contract. The total amount of storage available is the sum of storage available with subscriptions of the various Adobe products. The admin can allocate portions of the aggregate storage to users by assigning licenses to the users.

Note:

We're updating organizations (teams or enterprises) to the Enterprise storage model to enable enterprise storage and other enterprise-level features for Adobe ID users.

You'll be notified when your organization is scheduled for the update. After the update, the Adobe ID users are moved to enterprise storage, and the organization directly controls their business profiles.

To be entitled to a product or a service, enterprise users must be part of a product profile. A product profile also determines the storage eligibility for its users. For details, see how to manage product profiles. A teams user must be assigned a product license to gain entitlement to a product or service.

When users are removed from a particular product profile or their licenses are unassigned, they lose their entitlement. The storage allocation is immediately revised. If a user's storage exceeds the revised allocation, they cannot add new files. However, the user still has access to their files. Users must delete files to free up space and stay below the new storage allocation.

When users are removed from the organization, they cannot access their assets. However, the admin can reclaim assets for any users who have stored assets.
