Understand billing charges

Last updated on 1 Sep 2026

Find out why Adobe charged you and what to do next. Check your billing history to confirm which plan and account a charge is linked to.

If it’s been a while since you signed up, below are a few helpful reminders about your subscription (note that these details are also provided in the initial sign-up process and your order confirmation email):

  • Promotional or introductory price: Adobe offers promotional pricing that is limited in time. So, if you see a change in the amount charged, your plan may have been offered at a one-time promotional price for a limited period, which recently ended. Adobe offers further discounts for students and teachers, often through an introductory period. Your introductory period may have recently ended. Introductory pricing applies only for the first year.
  • Multiple accounts: You may have multiple accounts with Adobe, and you may have purchased through a different account (email address). Use the charge finder tool to identify a charge without signing in.
  • Multiple plan charges: Each Adobe subscription is billed independently. Cancelling one plan doesn't cancel others. You may have Acrobat Pro or Adobe Stock as separate active plans. Sign in to your Adobe account and review all active plans.

Check your Adobe account for details on your purchases and plans.

Adobe offers free trials that are limited in time. So, if you see a change in the amount you were recently charged, you may have agreed to start a free trial, which recently ended, and your paid subscription began.

Check your Adobe account for your purchases and plan details.

If you see a charge after cancelling a subscription, it's usually one of the following reasons:

  • Multiple active plans: You have more than one active plan. Cancelling one plan doesn't automatically cancel others. Review all active plans in your Adobe account.
  • Cancellation didn't go through: If you didn't receive a confirmation email, the plan may still be active. Verify cancellation status in your Adobe account.

Refunds may take 10-14 business days to process and be credited to the payment method used to purchase the subscription.
