Add text within objects using the Area Type tool

The Area Type tool lets you add text to objects.

Select the Area Type tool.
Click anywhere on the path of an object to type or paste your text.
Double-click the Area Type tool to open the Area Type Options dialog box. Customize the tool's Width, Height, Columns, Rows, Offset, and Align settings.
