Use Lightroom on mobile camera shortcuts
Learn how to use shortcuts and widgets to quickly launch the Lightroom camera from your home or lock screen.
Use Quick actions and widgets to launch the Adobe Lightroom camera directly from your home or lock screen.
Use the quick actions menu
Select and hold the Lightroom app icon.
From the menu that appears, select a camera mode:
- Take photo: Launch the Lightroom capture interface using your device’s back camera.
- Take selfie: Launch the Lightroom capture interface using your device’s front camera.
The Lightroom camera interface opens, allowing you to capture a photo using the selected camera mode.
Add the Lightroom camera widget to the home screen
Navigate to your device’s home screen.
Select and hold the Lightroom app icon.
From the menu that appears, select and hold a camera mode:
- Take photo: Adds add a rear camera widget.
- Take selfie: Adds a front camera widget.
Drag and place the selected widget in your preferred location on the home screen.
Add a lock screen widget
Select and hold an empty area on the device’s Lock Screen until the customize options appear.
Select Customise, and then select Lock Screen.
Select the widget area on the Lock Screen.
Scroll down and select Lightroom.
Select or drag the Lightroom camera widget into the widget area.
Select Done to save your changes.
The Lightroom on mobile app shortcuts work on Android phones running version 7.1.1 or later. Support for app shortcuts depends on your device manufacturer’s implementation.
The camera widget provides an alternative access method that works across the following compatible Android devices:
- Lightroom on mobile, Android version 11.2 or later installed.
- Android version 14 or later for app shortcuts.
- The Lightroom app launched at least once to allow app shortcuts.

Select and hold the Lightroom app icon.

- Lightroom Camera: Launch the Lightroom capture interface using your device’s back camera.
- Selfie: Launch the Lightroom capture interface using your device’s front camera.
The Lightroom camera interface opens, allowing you to capture a photo using the selected camera mode.
Add the Lightroom camera widget to the home screen
Navigate to your device’s home screen.
Select and hold the Lightroom app icon.
