Learn to use FLUX models to generate image variations from text prompts in Adobe Firefly.
Use FLUX models including FLUX1.1 [pro], FLUX1.1 [pro] Ultra, FLUX1.1 [pro] Ultra (Raw), FLUX.2 [pro], FLUX.1 Kontext [max], and FLUX.1 Kontext [pro], with the Generate image feature to create images from text prompts directly in Firefly. You can use these models to generate detailed visual compositions and explore different artistic styles.
When you select a partner model to generate images, you'll be prompted to confirm that you're using a model not developed by Adobe, along with other relevant information. Please review the details and select OK to continue.
On the Genrate image page, enter a text prompt in the Prompt field.
In the General settings section, select the Model dropdown menu.
Under the Partner models section, select FLUX1.1 [pro], FLUX1.1 [pro] Ultra, or FLUX1.1 [pro] Ultra (Raw).
Use the Aspect ratio dropdown menu to select from the following options:
- Widescreen (16:9)
- Vertical (9:16)
- Square (1:1)
- Portrait (3:4)
- Landscape (4:3)
Use the Reference image section to upload an image from your device or Adobe cloud storage.

The Reference image option is available for FLUX 1.1 Ultra and FLUX 1.1 Ultra (Raw).
When you add a reference image, it will be considered along with the text prompt to guide the generated image.

Select Generate .

Under the Partner models section, select FLUX.2 [pro].
Use the Aspect ratio dropdown menu to select from the following options:
- Classic (3:4)
- Ultra wide (21:9)
- Widescreen (16:9)
- Close (1:1)
- Landscape (4:3)
- Wide (5:4)
- Square (1:1)
- Standard (4:5)
- Portrait (3:4)
- Tall (2:3)
- Vertical (9:16)
Use the Reference image section to upload upto four images from your device or Adobe cloud storage.
This allows for greater creative control; you can blend multiple styles, objects, and contexts rather than relying on a single source. This multi-image conditioning improves output quality and flexibility while maintaining computational efficiency.

Under the Partner models section, select FLUX.1 Kontext [max] or FLUX.1 Kontext [pro].
Use the Aspect ratio dropdown menu to select from the following options:

- Vertical (9:16)
- Square (1:1)
- Portrait (3:4)
- Landscape (4:3)
Use the Image section to upload an image to edit, such as adding an element to it.
Select Generate .
