Expand the dimensions of your image and generate content as part of the Crop workflow with Generative Expand in Photoshop on the iPad.

Expand the dimensions of your image and write a text prompt to generate content with Generative Expand  . The new content will blend with the existing image. 

View the newly created content in a Generative Layer, and select from the creative variations generated.

Get started with Generative Expand

Open an image in Photoshop on iPad.

Select Crop     tool from the Tools panel. 

Drag the borders of your canvas to the required size and select Generative Expand

The new canvas area will be filled with AI-generated content.

You can also enter a text prompt to describe the content you want generated in your image. Use the text entry prompt box in the Contextual Task Bar that appears. 

Select Generate   and then select from the generated variations in the Properties panel.

Select the Generative Layer to open the Properties panel. This will allow you to make more edits to the text prompt or adjustments to the variations.

Make adjustments to the text prompt and select Generate in the Properties panel to generate more variations. 

Note

Generative Expand deducts one standard generative credit per generation.
