Learn how to remove the background from your video or restore it with Premiere on iPhone.
Remove and restore backgrounds to layer clips and combine different visual elements. This is especially useful for placing people or objects over new backgrounds, creating more dynamic scenes, or adding effects without affecting the rest of your footage.
Remove background
In the options at the bottom of the screen, scroll to find Remove background and tap it.
The app automatically creates a mask around your subject and removes the background.
Restore the original background
After applying a background effect, notice that the Remove background icon changes to Restore background.
In the options at the bottom of the screen, scroll to find Remove background and tap it.
Tap Restore background.
The original background of the clip is restored.
