Use partner models

Learn about how partner models work in Adobe Premiere on iPhone.

Premiere on iPhone supports partner models that let you create images and video directly inside your editing workflow. These models power features like Image to Video and Text to Image, giving you more creative options without leaving your timeline.

Understanding how partner models work helps you choose the right model for your creative style, speed up content creation, and maintain control over how AI-generated media fits into your projects, all without leaving your timeline.

What are partner models?

Partner models are generative models developed by partners outside Adobe and made available within Premiere on iPhone. These models are integrated directly into Premiere, so you can generate and use AI content without switching apps or exporting files.

Depending on the workflow, partner models can generate:

  • Video clips from a single image (Image to Video).
  • Images from a text prompt (Text to Image).

Types of partner models workflows

Image to Video

Use Image to Video to create short motion clips from a single still image. This workflow is helpful when you want to add movement to product visuals for social media or promotional content.

You can also animate existing campaign stills without recreating the original creative. Switching between AI models lets you explore different motion styles and generate multiple variations quickly, which is helpful when testing content across platforms.

Image to Video can also be used to add motion to selfies or lifestyle images. This makes it easier to create short clips for introductions, stories, or profile highlights using an AI style that matches your visual aesthetic.

Text to Image

Use Text to Image to generate images from a text prompt and place them directly into your timeline. This workflow is useful when you need custom visuals without having to search for stock assets.

Text to Image also supports fast creation for timely or trend-based content. You can generate images quickly and animate them for added motion, switching between AI models to match different visual styles as needed.

You can also use Text to Image to explore ideas before production begins. Generating concept imagery from text prompts makes it easier to compare styles, test visual directions, and prepare assets for pitches or early creative planning.

Choosing the right model

Each partner model is optimized for different creative needs. Some models focus on realistic motion, while others are better suited for stylized or experimental visuals.

When choosing a model, consider:

  • The visual style you want to achieve
  • The resolution you need for your output
  • How quickly do you need results
  • Whether you plan to compare multiple outputs before deciding

You can switch models to explore different looks without rebuilding your edit.

Some image and video generation models consume generative credits. For details on how credits are used across models, refer to Generative credit usage for non-Adobe models in Adobe products.

Model access and defaults

The availability of partner models varies depending on your account type.

  • Individuals get Nano Banana (for images) and Veo (for video) as defaults.
  • Enterprise gets Firefly image 4 and Firefly Video models as defaults.

Model access and defaults are designed to support different creative and organizational needs.

How partner models fit into your workflow

Partner models are integrated into Premiere on iPhone's existing workflow. You can shoot, edit, generate, refine, and publish content from a single place.

This integration allows you to:

  • Stay in your timeline while generating content
  • Swap models without redoing your edit
  • Compare results quickly and refine outputs
