Fit and fill the video to your screen

Last updated on Sep 30, 2025

Learn how to adjust video fill and positioning in Premiere on iPhone to ensure your clips fit perfectly on screen.

Make sure your clips look just right in your project. Use the Fill option to expand a video to cover the entire screen, or reposition a zoomed-in clip by dragging it into place. When the aspect ratio of your project and the dimensions of your media are different, the clip will automatically fit to the screen. You can also manually adjust the clip to fill the frame or reposition it for the best composition.

Tap the clip in your timeline that doesn’t fit the screen.

In the bottom toolbar, scroll through the options and tap Fill.

The Fill option highlighted in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen to adjust how a video fits the frame.
Use Fill to make your video cover the entire screen for a full-frame view.

Your clip automatically expands to cover the full frame.

Tip

If your clip is zoomed in, tap and drag the video in the preview to adjust its position — move it left, right, up, or down until it’s framed the way you want.
