Learn how to export PDFs in different formats using Adobe Acrobat Reader. 

Adobe Acrobat Export PDF lets you reuse valuable content stored in PDF files. Instead of retyping the information, use Adobe Acrobat Export PDF to convert PDF files into editable Word, Excel, or RTF (rich text format) documents.

Note

Ensure that you have a paid subscription to the Adobe Acrobat Export PDF service to convert PDFs to Microsoft Word, Excel, or RTF documents.

On the upper-right corner of the Acrobat Reader window, click Sign In.

In the Sign In dialog, sign in using your Adobe ID and password.

Select All Tools >  Export a PDF.

By default, the currently opened file is selected for conversion. Click Select PDF File to browse and select another file.

From the Export PDF To list, select the desired conversion format.  

Select Convert to <selected file format>.

In the Save as dialog box, choose the location to which you want to save the file, and then select Save. The file is exported into the selected format and saved to the specified location.

Note

If you are exporting a scanned document or image, ensure that the Document Language is set correctly as per the language of the text used in the document. To change the language, click Change and choose an appropriate language from the list.

Save the converted document to your local system
