Change the duration of a clip

Adjust the playback speed to make your clip shorter or longer in Premiere mobile.

You can change the duration of a clip by adjusting its speed. Slowing down a clip extends its duration for dramatic effect, while speeding it up shortens the clip to fit more action in less time.

Open your project and tap the clip you want to adjust in the timeline.

In the bottom toolbar, scroll through the options from right to left and tap Retime > Speed.

Drag the speed slider to set a value between 0.1x (slowest) and 10x (fastest).

As you adjust, the new clip duration appears below the speed bar.

Open your project and tap the clip you want to adjust in the timeline.

In the bottom toolbar, scroll through the options from right to left and tap Retime > Speed.
