For a summary of features introduced in earlier releases of Adobe XD, Feature summary | earlier releases.

Adobe XD is a vector-based tool for designing and prototyping user experiences for web and mobile apps. Switch easily from wire framing, visual design, interaction design, prototyping, previewing, and sharing, all in one powerful tool.

XD is made for all types of creators - UX/UI designers, interaction designers, experience designers, product designers, web designers, app designers, visual designers, entrepreneurs, and more.

New Features in Adobe XD 21

Unified share for development links

With the new unified web experience with design specs from XD 21.0, you can share a single link that includes an interactive prototype and design specs.

Designers can better communicate design intent and provide all the resources developers need to build with a single shared link. Developers can better understand interactions and intended behaviors and save valuable time by avoiding constantly switching between separate prototype and design spec links.

Document presence

From XD 21.0, you can view a visual indicator when other designers are editing the same cloud document. This prevents conflicting edits and duplication of effort.

Mobile commenting

From XD 21.0, you can use mobile devices to comment on shared prototypes and the shared prototype link is up-to-date with the latest comments.

View and inspect sub-range text

You can now view and inspect specifications for a sub-range text within a larger text of an artboard in design specs. For example, if you have content with a mixed set of superscript, subscript, and strikethrough fonts, you can view these atributes in the Property Inspector.

New Features in Adobe XD 20

The June 2019 release of XD has the following enhancements:

Property inspector in prototype mode

Adobe XD 20.0 has moved the prototype head-up-display from the canvas to a property inspector in prototype mode. This new UI improvement  helps you select multiple artboards and define complex prototype attributes in one go.
