Adobe has disabled the activation server for CS2 products, including Acrobat 7 and Audition 3, because of a technical issue. These products were released more than seven years ago, do not run on many modern operating systems, and are no longer supported.
Adobe strongly advises against running unsupported and outdated software. The serial numbers provided as a part of the download may only be used by customers who legitimately purchased CS2 or Acrobat 7 and need to maintain their current use of these products.
Follow these steps to download and install Acrobat 7, Audition 3 or your CS2 applications, which don’t use activation.
If you still have Acrobat 7, Audition 3 or the CS2 applications installed, uninstall them.
Windows
- Go to the Control Panel > Add Or Remove Programs, and select the CS2 products you want to remove.
Note: If you installed Creative Suite 2 Standard or Premium, remove all the individual point products as per Step 1.
Mac OS
- Remove Acrobat 7 or your CS2 applications by dragging the application folder to the trash. You can run a search on your hard disk to find additional CS2 components to delete.
For example, for Photoshop CS2, the components are in the following locations:- Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS2
- Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop CS2 Settings
- Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop CS2 Path
- Go to the Control Panel > Add Or Remove Programs, and select the CS2 products you want to remove.
Download the product from the links below (select the language you've bought the product in).
