Learn how to insert text from the transcript into the timeline as a text layer.
Adding a segment of text or a set of words from the generated transcript to the timeline as a text layer can reduce the time spent manually creating a text layer and typing it out.
With the Firefly video editor, you can search for keywords or phrases in the transcript to quickly locate specific moments. Alternatively, you can manually scrub through the transcript, highlight the desired section, and use the Add text to timeline feature to insert it directly into the timeline as a text layer.
Create a new project and add a video file with dialogue to the timeline.
Use the search option to find specific text in the transcript, or manually scrub through it to locate the section you want to add to the timeline as a text layer.
Highlight the text and select the Add text to the timeline option from the context menu.
The text is added to the timeline as a text layer, starting exactly at the point in the video where the selected words are spoken.
The Properties panel for text is also enabled, allowing you to customize how the text appears in the video.
