Roles and permissions in Adobe Express for Enterprise

Last updated on Aug 31, 2026

Adobe Express roles and permissions help organizations collaborate effectively, maintain brand consistency, and streamline workflows. By assigning specific roles and permissions, Enterprise admins can ensure the right level of access for every team member.

Before you begin:
  • System Admins and Product Admins set up and manage Adobe Express roles and permissions through Admin Console. If you need a change to your role or permissions, contact your admin.
  • Admins can update roles at any time to reflect changing responsibilities.
  • All users in your organization belong to the Member role. Certain capabilities, such as creating or editing templates and publishing to social media, can be disabled at the Member level. System Admins should work with their business counterparts to define the level of control required for Adobe Express users.

Types of roles

In the Admin Console, there are two types of roles admins can assign for Adobe Express:

  • Predefined roles: Roles that come with a preset group of capabilities, so admins can assign access quickly. See the table below for three predefined roles for Adobe Express. More details and actions are available in the Manager Hub in Adobe Express.
  • Custom roles: Roles admins build by combining individual capabilities from across the predefined roles, for more tailored access.

Whichever type you assign, the person's capabilities appear in Manager Hub when they open Adobe Express. For a detailed explanation of predefined and custom roles, read more about user roles in the Admin console.
