Open a photo in the detail view, and then select Prompt to Edit from the left panel. You can also access Prompt to Edit from the View menu.

Learn how to make complex edits, such as restoring, retouching, or transforming photos, using example prompts or by customizing prompts.
Prompt to Edit is an early access feature in Adobe Lightroom desktop.
Use Prompt to Edit, powered by generative AI, to edit and refine your photos. With example prompts specially curated for photographers, you can restore, retouch, unblur, and colorize your photos, or enter your own prompts to define the complex edits you want to apply.
In the Prompt to Edit panel, do any of the following:
- Use Example prompts: Select any of the prompts, such as Fix dust and scratches, Color restoration, Unblur, or more, from the Example prompts. The Prompt field is automatically filled in with a detailed prompt.
- Write or customize prompts: Type detailed instructions on the edits you want to make to the photo in the Prompt field.
Tip
- For better results, use the Prompt field to describe complex edits that would otherwise require additional tools or extensive manual work.
- You can also modify the selected example prompt in the Prompt field to customize the edit, and then save it.
Select the save icon in the Recent and saved prompts section to save and rename your customized prompt. You can access your saved and recently used prompts from the Select a prompt dropdown menu.
In the Output settings, select Nano Banana 2 (4K) or Nano Banana 2 (2K) from the Model and resolution dropdown menu.
Select Create stack to group the edited and original photos in a stack. Stacks are currently supported only in the Cloud.
Select Generate. You can view the progress in the upper-left corner of the header bar. Once complete, you'll find the edited photo saved as a DNG file in the stack or next to the original image in the filmstrip.
You can select the credit balance icon in the Prompt to Edit panel to view the credits remaining in your account.
To remove a saved or recently used prompt, select the prompt from the Select a prompt dropdown menu, and then select the delete icon.
