Error Code: -175

You must have administrator access to install Add-ons.

This can happen if you do not have administrator access to install applications on your computer, or if you clicked No or Cancel when asked to enter an administrator password. You must enter your computer's administrator password if it is requested during installation.

Try installing again. To do this, go to My Add-ons, find the add-on, and if it is already installed, first click Remove. Wait two minutes for the removal to complete, then click Install. Click the notification message when it appears. Enter your administrator password if required, and click Yes in the notification dialog.

Installation failed, the Add-on is either invalid or not fully downloaded

The Add-on <addon-name> failed to install: Please make sure the Add-on is valid and completely downloaded.

Error Code: -201

Try installing again. To do this, go to My Add-ons, find the add-on, and if it is already installed, first click Remove. Wait two minutes for the removal to complete, then click Install.

Installation failed

The Add-on installation failed because it is incompatible with installed Adobe applications. Refer the Compatibility section by clicking here.

Error Code: -411

Once the application is installed, try installing the Add-on again. To do this, go to My Add-ons, find the add-on, and if it is already installed, first click Remove. Wait two minutes for the removal to complete, then click Install.

Installation failed, additional Add-on required

The Add-on <addon_name> failed to install: Another Add-on required by this one is not installed or enabled.

Error Code: -407, -408

Check which Add-on or Add-ons must be installed first by reading the description of the Add-on you are trying to install.

Install the required Add-on or addons first, then reinstall this one. To do this, go to My Add-ons, find the add-on, and if it is already installed, first click Remove. Wait two minutes for the removal to complete, then click Install.

Installation failed, Add-on with same name already installed

The Add-on <addon-name> failed to install: An Add-on with the same name is already installed.

Error Code: -412

Check that the Add-you have already installed is the one you want. If it is a different product with the same name and you want the one available through My Add-ons, you must remove the one that is currently installed, then reinstall through My Add-ons.

To do this, go to My Add-ons, find the add-on, and if it is already installed, first click Remove. Wait two minutes for the removal to complete, then click Install.

Installation failed, Add-on already installed

The Add-on <addon-name> failed to install: A newer version of this Add-on is already installed.

Error Code: -418

If you want the specific version being offered through My Add-ons, you must remove the newer version you have previously installed, then reinstall the older version through My Add-ons.

To do this, go to My Add-ons, find the add-on, and if it is already installed, first click Remove. Wait two minutes for the removal to complete, then click Install.

Installation failed, compatible Creative Cloud app required

Case 2: The Add-on requires its compatible Adobe application to be closed to complete the installation. Click here for more information.

Error Code: -456

Quit the compatible CC applications that are running. The installation resumes automatically after a few minutes.

Installation failed, Creative Cloud apps not installed

The Add-on <addon-name> failed to install: None of the required Adobe applications have been installed.

Error Code: -458

Install at least one CC application that supports this Add-on. The installation resumes automatically after a few minutes.

If the Add-on is not automatically installed in the application, then reinstall this Add-on from the My Add-ons section.

To do this, go to My Add-ons, find the add-on, and if it is already installed, first click  Remove. Wait two minutes for the removal to complete, then click Install.

Installation failed, incompatible Creative Cloud app

The Add-on <addon-name> installation failed because it is incompatible with installed Adobe applications. Refer the Compatibility section by clicking here.

Error Code: -459

Check the requirements for this Add-on, then download and install a compatible version of a CC application. The installation resumes automatically after a few minutes.

If the Add-on is not automatically installed in the application, then reinstall this Add-on from the My Add-ons section. To do this, go to My Add-ons, find the add-on, and if it is already installed, first click Remove. Wait two minutes for the removal to complete, then click Install.

Installation failed, file operation error

The Add-on <addon-name> failed to install: There was a file operation error when installing this Add-on.

Error Code: -1xx, -2xx

The Add-on may be corrupted. Try downloading it again, or contact the Adobe Exchange Online Forum for assistance.

Installation failed, could not update database

The Add-on <addon-name> failed to install: Failed to update the database. Click here for more information.

Error Code: -5xx
