Organize, share, and collaborate using Projects

Learn how to create shared spaces using Projects to organize and collaborate on your files effectively.

Projects is a collaborative workspace within Adobe Home, Creative Cloud apps such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Express. It helps you organize your creative work, manage permissions, and streamline sharing.

Create a project and invite collaborators

In the left pane of the Illustrator homescreen, select Projects   .

Use Projects to create shared spaces accessible across Creative Cloud apps.

Select Create project   , and then type a name for your project.

In the Add people or groups field, type the names or email IDs of the people or groups you want to collaborate with.

Set permissions for the project:

  • Can comment: Can view files and leave feedback, but cannot share.
  • Can edit: Can create, modify, share, and organize files.

Type an optional message in the Message field to notify your collaborators, and then select Invite.

Select   in the upper-right corner of the screen, and then do the following, as needed:

  • Share   : Add more people or groups to the project.
  • Copy link   : Create a shareable link to the project.
  • Rename   : Rename the project.
  • Leave   : Exit the project.
  • Delete   : Delete the project.

Add and manage Illustrator cloud documents in a project

In the left pane of the Illustrator homescreen, select Projects   , and then select the target project.

Select Add, and then select Create folder   if you want to create a subfolder.

Select Add, and then select Move files   to move existing cloud documents to it.

You can't upload local files or assets to a project.

In Your files, select the documents you want to add, and then select Move. Once moved, the document inherits all the permissions of the project automatically.

Hover over a document, select   , and then do the following, as needed:

  • Share   : Add more people or groups specifically to the document. Those who have project-level permissions automatically inherit the document permissions.
  • Copy link   : Create a shareable link to the document.
  • Rename   : Rename the document.
  • Duplicate   : Create a copy of the document.
  • Move   : Move the document to Your files or another project.
  • Report abuse   : Flag the document if there are any violations.
  • Delete   : Delete the document.
