Learn how to modify text height for better layout and visual impact.
Select Window > Type > Character.
In the Character panel, select More options > Show Font Height Options.
In the Character panel, open the Set font height reference dropdown and select one of the following height metrics as needed:
- Em Box: Sets the font size based on the full em square of the font.
- Cap Height: Sets the font size based on the height of the uppercase letters.
- x-Height: Sets the font size based on the height of lowercase characters.
- ICF Box: Sets the font size based on the ICF (Ideographic Character Face) Box, commonly used in CJK fonts.
