Find if you're using genuine Adobe Content Synchronizer
Last updated on
Oct 17, 2025
Learn how to check if the copy of Adobe Content Synchronizer or CoreSync.exe running on your Windows device is genuine.
Adobe Content Synchronizer should not show high CPU usage, and if it does, you might be using a non-genuine copy. Follow these steps to check if the copy of CoreSync.exe running on your machine is genuine.
Select the Details tab.
Find CoreSync.exe on the list.
Right-click CoreSync.exe and select Open file location.
Note
There should only be one process running on the Task Manager named CoreSync.exe. If you see more than one CoreSync.exe, check all the file locations.
Check if it's located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Sync\CoreSync.
If the location differs, you have a non-genuine copy of Adobe Content Synchronizer, and your data might be compromised. Learn what to do if you have a non-genuine copy of CoreSync.exe.
