Before you check the system requirements, ensure that your operating system and Illustrator on iPad are up to date.
If your iPad is not listed below but supports Apple Pencil, then Illustrator on iPad is compatible for you.

Is your app crashing on the following iPad models when using iPadOS 17.1 and Apple Pencil (2nd generation)?
- iPad Pro 11-inch (4th generation)
- iPad Pro 12.9-inch (6th generation)
- iPad Pro 12.9-inch (4th generation)
Solution: Select Apple Settings > Apple Pencil and turn off Show Effects when using Pencil. For more information, go to the Apple Pencil hover section of Apple's support documentation.
