Adjust details

Select a photo to open it in Detail view.

Select Edit > Detail .

Hold and drag the following sliders to enhance details and edge definition:

• Sharpening: Enhance edge clarity to make details appear crisper.
• Radius: Adjust the size of sharpened details; use lower values for fine details and higher values for larger edges.
• Detail: Control how much fine texture is sharpened; lower values target edges, while higher values enhance textures.
• Masking: Limit sharpening to edges; at 0, sharpening affects the entire photo, and at 100, only strong edges are sharpened.

Select Edit > Detail .

Hold and drag the following sliders to reduce graininess in your photo:

• Noise reduction: Reduce unwanted grain while preserving photo detail.
• Detail: Balance noise reduction with detail preservation; higher values retain more detail, while lower values apply stronger smoothing.
• Contrast: Adjust contrast in smoothed areas; higher values preserve contrast but may retain noise, while lower values produce a softer look.

Select Edit > Detail .

Hold and drag the following sliders to reduce colored artifacts in your photo:

• Color noise reduction: Reduce color speckles caused by sensor noise.
• Detail: Control how much color detail is preserved; higher values protect fine color edges, while lower values remove speckles but may cause color bleeding.
• Smoothness: Smooth out color variations; higher values create softer color transitions, while lower values retain more texture.

Select Edit > Detail .

Select Sharpening and drag the Amount slider to any value to enable the adjustment sliders.

Hold and drag the following sliders to enhance details and edge definition:

• Amount: Enhance edge clarity to make details appear crisper.
• Radius: Adjust the size of sharpened details, use lower values for fine details and higher values for larger edges.
• Detail: Control how much fine texture is sharpened, lower values target edges, while higher values enhance textures.
• Masking: Adjust to determine where Sharpening is applied, at 0, sharpening affects the entire photo, and at +100, it’s limited to solid edges.

Select Noise and drag the Noise Reduction slider to any value to enable the adjustment sliders.

Hold and drag the following sliders to reduce graininess in your photo:

• Noise Reduction: Reduce unwanted grain while preserving photo detail.
• Detail: Balance Noise Reduction with detail preservation. Higher values retain more detail, while lower values apply stronger smoothing.
• Contrast: Manage Contrast preservation. Higher values retain contrasts but may also retain noise, while lower values smooth the photo but reduce contrasts.

Select Color noise and drag the Color Noise Reduction slider to any value to enable the adjustment sliders.

Hold and drag the following sliders to reduce colored artifacts in your photo:

• Color Noise Reduction: Reduce color speckles caused by sensor noise.
• Detail: Manage the Color noise threshold. Higher values protect thin, detailed color edges but may result in color speckling, while lower values remove color speckles but may cause color bleeding.
• Smoothness: Apply a softened effect to speckled color tones. Higher values create smoother results, while lower values retain more texture.
