Download Adobe Captivate

The process for downloading apps you’ve already purchased is slightly different than the process for downloading free trial apps.

  1. Sign in to your Adobe account with your Adobe ID and password.

  2. In the Creative Cloud apps Catalog, click the ‘Download’ button on the app you want to download. Your app will begin to download.

  3. On your desktop, double-click the downloaded file to launch the installer.

    On a Mac:
    The name of the downloaded file is _Installer.dmg. 

    On a Windows PC:
    The name of the downloaded file is _Set-Up.exe.

  4. Once the installer window opens, sign in to your Adobe account with your Adobe ID and password if you’re not already signed in.

  5.  Fill out the short questionnaire that opens on your screen and click Continue.

  6. Click Start Installing to install your app.

    Once installed, your app will launch automatically.

    Note:

    To download mobile apps, visit the Mobile apps catalog.

  1. In the Creative Cloud apps Catalog, click the ‘Download trial’ button on the app you want to download.

  2. Fill out the short questionnaire that opens on your screen, then click Sign in.

    If you don't have an Adobe ID, click Sign up for an Adobe ID and follow the instructions to create one.

  3. Once you’re signed in, your trial app will begin to download.

  4. Once it has downloaded, your trial app will install and launch automatically. Your free trial will begin at this time.

  1. To open the Creative Cloud desktop app, click the Creative Cloud icon, located in the taskbar (Windows) or Apple menu bar (Mac OS).

  2. If it’s not already selected, click the Apps tab at the top of the window.

    You will see your installed app, as well as a list of other apps you can browse and install.

  3. In the All Apps section, scroll to find the app you want to install.

  4. Click Install, and your app will begin to download.

The Creative Cloud desktop app tells you when updates are available for your installed apps. You can check for updates manually by following these steps:

  1. Open the Creative Cloud desktop app, and click the gear icon in the top right corner.

  2. Choose Check for App Updates from the pop-up menu. You can also press Ctrl+Alt+R (Windows) or Command+Option+R (Mac OS) to refresh the Creative Cloud desktop app and check for updates.

  3. The Apps panel will be updated to show all available updates.
